Making Products More Valuable

“I'm very happy to become a member of HAZEMAG and I will devote my wisdom to its growth wholeheartedly,” said Tobias Schlueter, a 36-year-old industrial engineer, “This is my new starting point and a reward for my hard work.”

In January 2022, Tobias Schlueter was transferred from sales manager to product manager. “This is a position different from my previous one. In this position, I will implement a new, successful communication culture with all departments and companies of the HAZEMAG Group.” Tobias Schlueter defned the basic duties and values of the job as he was about to take on his new role. 

As a product manager, he can't judge for himself. Instead, he needs to bring together people from different departments, such as sales, R&D, operations, services and control. “I lead a virtual team in the HAZEMAG Group to enable more purposeful communication among departments to ensure the best solutions of our company.” Tobias Schlueter said. 

Where there is a will, there is a way. Thanks to team efforts, the communication between the technology R&D department and the product management department has been obviously improved to an unprecedented level. “Together, we can create innovative and modern products.” With a team of highly motivated employees, colleagues and friends, Tobias Schlueter will take advantage of the new team spirit to promote the well-known brand of HAZEMAG more vigorously. “I will strengthen the brand of HAZEMAG and create business growth with a standardized and modular product portfolio.” To this end, the Global Testing and Research Center where Tobias Schlueter works is closely involved in development of product standardization. At present, Tobias Schlueter's team has implemented proposals automatically created from CRM software for all standardized products, which ensures a faster response to customers'requirements.

The standardization of new product information, including new and unified pictures and language, and the same look and feel of all products, enables Tobias Schlueter to market HAZEMAG's machines in the best possible way. From now on, all HAZEMAG's employees around the world will have access to unified and standardized product information. This new information can be presented to customers and business partners in a unifed and professional way, which ensures that the company can more easily present different details of all product lines in a consistent form. “This successful new standardized product information will also be adopted by other companies of the HAZEMAG Group,” Tobias Schlueter said excitedly. “Proactively collecting suggestions for improvement and subsequently actively promoting implementation led to improved and enhanced processing within the company. Developing an approach to continuous improvement across the HAZEMAG Group is the key to the successful transformation of the company and one of my main motivations.”

HAZEMAG's initiative to identify and define best practice processes and workflows was very prominent throughout the year. Tobias Schlueter was heavily involved in improving overall business development and performance and achieved great success. “Together with our marketing department, I developed a social media strategy for promoting the company's products. Its success can be measured by the increased number of followers of the company's account on social media platform and increased customer traffc and inquiries on the company's homepage. This approach can be easily adopted by all companies within the Group. “Everything I do is focused on the profit growth of the company and strengthening the communication and working relationship between outstanding employees in the company.” Tobias Schlueter said.

Looking ahead, Tobias Schlueter said such new processes, efficient workflows and best practices will be further promoted in the HAZEMAG Group and all of its affliated companies. “Undoubtedly, this will bring the HAZEMAG Group's business to a higher level.”

Dedicated CNBMer in Zambia: Effort Pays off

My name is Henry Kawalika from the Asset Finance Department of CNBM Zambia Industrial Park. I was born in Ndola, Zambia. I am 30 years old and graduated from Lusaka National Institute of Public Administration. I came to CNBM in 2018 and have been working here for more than 4 years. I am a cheerful person who likes to make friends. Since I started working at this company, I have tried to achieve rapid self-improvement through the dual drive of "theoretical knowledge & application practice". With the help and encouragement of my Chinese colleagues, I have effectively promoted the orderly implementation of various works.  

An ancient Chinese saying goes, " A long journey can be covered only by taking one step at a time". As an accountant, I shoulder meticulous and tedious work, which requires suffcient carefulness and patience from me to apply what I have learned into practice. When I first joined the company, I was under great pressure.  So I set "small goals" for myself – to learn the business knowledge in the short time and enrich the theoretical reserves to work independently. Faced with new work and business, I understand that only by being proactive, humble, and studious can I make up for my shortcomings through diligence. Therefore, on the basis of learning professional knowledge well, I read abundant books to broadened my horizons.

I often made mistakes when I first came, but now I have grown into a skilled basic accounting accountant. On the one hand, it benefts from self-training, on the other hand, I also learn from my leaders and colleagues with whom I get along day and night. During daily work, I often ask the Chinese accountant in charge for advice when I had some confuses. His professional guidance has saved me a lot of detours and benefted a lot. Besides, I have also participated in various social practice activities and sports and cultural activities organized by company, which enhanced the understanding and friendship between me and my Chinese colleagues. In work, we are team partners forging ahead hand in hand, and in life, we are close buddies side by side.

During the pandemic, I actively responded to our company's epidemic prevention and control management measures, and undertook the epidemic prevention work in our offce. I sprayed disinfectant and wiped alcohol on the public keyboard, mouse, desk and floor, making my own contribution to the epidemic prevention work of the team.  When there is a temporary vacancy of our colleagues, I will take the initiative to cover for them. “Solidarity and mutual help” is my profound experience in this big family, and I’d like to put it into practice.

At present, our company has a lot of income and frequent expense bills. When reviewing the reimbursement or payment of each document, I will carefully check whether the procedures are complete, whether the original documents are legal and valid and whether the case amount is correct. Only when the document fully complies with the regulations, can I pay. Therefore, I have achieved "zero errors" in the payment business throughout the year, with an accuracy rate of 100%, and fulflled my duties as an accountant with all my heart.

"Ask where the canal is so clear, because there is fowing water from the source", where is the fowing water? Under the meticulous guidance and care of the leaders, in the hard work of colleagues, in the selfless dedication, in the hard work of individuals without complaints or regrets. Because of the fnancial work, I have demonstrated my self-worth; because of this job, I have tempered my will, and every time I complete the work well, I will feel a sliver of happiness, because happy work makes me feel happy. Although I have made certain achievements in the fnancial work position, there is still a certain gap from the goal of excellent fnancial personnel. However, I frmly believe that "hard work pays off", as long as I enthusiastically adhere to the fnancial work spirit of "dedication, diligence, refnement, and pragmatism", I will definitely do better in financial work tomorrow.
